SC-50

ENL are pleased to announce the introduction of the next generation of Satellite GPS compass. Following on from the revolutionary 3-axis SC60 GPS heading sensor, ENL announce the launch of the new Furuno SC50 model.

The SC50 utilizes the same advanced GPS Kinematic technology as the previous generation of compass to provide very a stable and accurate heading signal, but with a new clear Silver Bright 4.5' LCD Display at a more affordable price!

This Satellite Compass is ideal as an alternative to a traditionally expensive and high-maintenance gyrocompass for non-compulsory vessels, as well as being the perfect back up solution to a gyro for a compulsory vessel. Unlike conventional magnetic and gyrocompasses, accuracy is not affected by G-force or velocity.

Satellite Compass performance is not affected by shipÆs speed, latitude, geomagnetism, etc. This hybrid integration of GPS receiver technology and a 3-axis solid-state rate sensor provide accurate and steady heading information, with excellent follow-up rate of 45¦/s and heading accuracy of ¦1.0¦. Pitch and Roll angle is also output in both analogue and digital formats for external equipment.

Furthermore, when compared to other GPS based compass systems incorporating only two antennas, our addition of a third GPS antenna provides enhanced accuracy while reducing the negative effects of pitch, roll, and yaw.

The SC50 offers a wide range of applications for providing fast, stable, precision heading information to numerous devices, including: Radar/ARPA, Satellite Communications & TV systems, Autopilots (based upon I/F type), AIS, ECDIS, Scanning Sonar, Chart Plotters, etc.
